On the inside of the bumper (position 2 of the sketch) plastic holders are glued on each side, which due to the design can easily break when the bumper is dismantled or in a crash. The replacement brackets - we have left and right ones on offer - are much more stable and can be mounted either with sheet metal nuts or threaded clips after gluing with BMW "Adhesive for bumper PDC brackets".
